Clinics will start up shortly. Please
remember that you will need to renew your "patch" if your three
years are up. Contact Gordie McClay, our ACE Director - with any
questions.
-
Coaches you are responsible for your team
from the time you enter the rink to the time all the players leave
the rink. You must adhere to the PYH Locker room policy and ensure
a safe environment for all of our children.
-
Coaches please know the rules. We hand out
USA hockey rules at the start of each season to each head coach.
Assistants please review as well. If you come across a situation
which is unfamiliar, please take the time to review your book to
learn more about the game. It never hurts to review the rules you
think you may already know....an Example; what is intentional off
sides...bet most of you get it wrong. Take a look a the tripping
rule...bet you would be surprise about the "leaving your feet"
part regardless if you touch the puck.
Make sure you are current on your coaching "patches".
Whether you need a renewal (every three years) or are currently
a bench coach needing the updated Level III patch, make early plans
to attend one of the few remaining classes. Head Coaches double
check your assistants level of patching...they will not be allowed
on the ice if they are not patched. Coaches clinics posted on Mass
