The Plymouth Squirt A's take their division in Marlboro going undefeated on their way to the championship! With 3 shut out performances in the round robin format, then beating Acton/Boxboro in the Semi's 4-3. They took the Shrewsbury team in the finals 5-1. The Plymouth Bantam A's won their division beating the Newport Whalers 3-1. The Bantams A's went 3-1 for the weekend out scoring their opponents 19-4.

The Plymouth Pee Wee B's made it to the Semi finals only to run into a tough Nonotuck team, dashing their hopes of a trip to the finals. The Nonotuck team eventually took the championship.

Great job to all 14 teams who competed over the weekend at the Central Mass Winter classic in Marlboro.

February Team of the Month

  • The Bantam A team had a great month, most notably taking the 2007 Central Mass Winter Classic Bantam A division championship. The Bantam A's also beat the number one team, Pembroke, in a 2-1 dog fight this month, handing the Pembroke team only their second loss of the season. The team is playing well heading into the final part of the season. With the playoffs starting in four weeks the Bantam A's have placed themselves in a great position for a spot in the post season.

February Player of the Month

  • Zach Prifti has been on hockey fire for the past month, scoring 6 goals and 8 assists for 14 points in 7 Games. He has played well not only in the offensive zone but has been a tremendous defensive player as well. Zach was a major contributor to the Bantam A's successful win at the Central Mass Winter Classic.

Learn to Play hockey and learn to skate have ended their seasons. Thanks to all the players and parents who participated. We are already looking forward to next year. Some of our learn to play players are heading to the lobster pot tournament.  Click here to view our Learn to Play/Skate page.

Thank you to all who supported PYH at the Uno's fundraiser. We made $436.00.

Thank you for all of your input at the open board meeting, via emails and phone calls. We have listened to our membership and we have a very modest increase. We have raised the cost by $45.00 for our registration and raised our calendar participation/commitment to $100.00. This means the cost of the program is $795.00 with $100.00 calendar commitment for a total of $895.00. We will continue with the same amount of ice. We will need your help in raising money to offset the cost of the program as we discussed at our open board meeting. We are very excited about the coming season and we believe that with the memberships involvement we will continue to have the best program in the state. Please visit our Policy and Forms Page (Click here) to view our 2007-2008 registration policy.

January Team of the Month  - The Squirt A Storm is the PYH team of the month for January.  The team had a record of 5-0-1 in the month of January, also going 7-0-1 in their last 8 games.  This run put the team into a playoff spot, moving from hovering around 11th place all the way up to a tie for 5th place.  Congratulations Storm!

Player of the Month - December - Zack Peterson has been named player of the month. Zack plays for Steve Anzuoni's Bantam C team. "In the month of December, Zack scored 6 goals, including his first career hat trick, and 5 assists for a total of 11 points, leading his team to a 3-0-1 record. In addition to his scoring achievements, Zack never misses a practice, and comes to the rink with a positive attitude that is infectious."

Team of the Month - December - the Plymouth Bantam C2 Black hawks  "The Black hawks, after starting out the season 5- 4, responded in December with a 3-0-1 record, outscoring their opponents 25 to 5, while posting 2 shutouts, all while missing some key players. Zack Peterson scored his first career hat trick during the streak."

FYI - There were 2 car break-in's at the Pilgrim ice Arena on the 26th of December. The police believe the thief's waited for the people to go into the rink...watched who carried a purse or not and then smashed the window of the car and ran off with the purses...their credit cards were used within 5 mins of being stolen. There has also been reports of stolen items inside and outside other rinks throughout the South Shore. Please safe guard your valuables.
