At the request of
Mark Zayac I post this for your reading:
To the Plymouth
Youth
Hockey Board of Directors,
Plymouth Youth
Hockey (PYH) has been a wonderful experience for me and
my family. My children started out in the Learn to Skate
Program and have enjoyed the experience all the way up
to Midgets. We have made many lifelong friends over the
years and have countless memories that we will cherish
forever.
Sadly, with one
son entering college and the other not far behind, I
feel it is time for me to retire from the Plymouth Youth
Hockey Board of Directors.
I was asked to
interview for a Board of Directors position in 2000, and
was delighted at the opportunity. I was selected to join
the Board of Directors that year. Since that time I have
worked hard for the program, its members, and everything
affiliated with it.
As I look back at
my tenure, I can be proud of what was accomplished
during that time. As the Directors before me, who set
out to make a difference, I too have tried to follow
that path. There are many things I am proud of; we were
selected as “Massachusetts Hockey Program of the Year”
in 2006. We were selected as the “South Shore Conference
Program of the Year” twice, 2003 and 2007. I was
selected as “South Shore Conference Director of the
Year” in 2007. We started the Power Skating Program. We
have better budgeting tools. More ice time for our
teams. We introduced new
hockey jerseys and socks. We restarted the kick
off picnic. We kept the Gibbons tournament going strong.
We gave our coaches binders with pertinent information
like rules, team information, conference information,
and program information. The list goes on.
I have put my
heart and soul into PYH and have held many different
positions from Coordinator to President. I have made
myself available to help out where ever needed. From
washing 40 sets of jerseys to refereeing tryouts
continuously, I have done everything I could to
help…..gladly.
Finally, as I
retire from my position from the Plymouth Youth Hockey
Board of Directors, I want to wish you all the best in
your journey to continually strive to keep Plymouth
Youth Hockey the program of choice. I have loved
every minute of it.
Best Regards,
Mark Zayac
From Gordie McClay
I would like to let the membership know that as
of today I have resigned as a member of the
board of directors of Plymouth Youth Hockey. It
was a hard decision to make but I believe it is
the best decision for myself and my family. I
have enjoyed my 7 years on the board and we
worked hard to provide the membership with the
best program possible. I wish everyone luck with
the season, thank you for the support over the
years and hope that I still see you around the
rink. The web site will be up for a while until
the BOD comes up with a new site and web master.
Respectfully,
Gordie McClay
***Our next
open board meeting

like to discuss it with the board prior to the
open board meeting please let us know and we
will try to arrange something prior to our board

Congratulations to the Pee Wee B's,
the Bantam B's and the Bantam A's for an
exciting season...all three were knocked out of
the playoffs this weekend. The Bantam A's went
down in double overtime 3-2.
We also still
have the Pee Wee C teams in contention along
with the Bantam C team. Both have games coming
up this weekend.
Squirt C1 has won all
three games going into the Championship round.
The Squrit C2 team is doing great as well...
A big round of applause to the Pee Wee A team
who lost a thrilling over time game today...5
overtimes...yes 5! Great season by the PW A
team...
South
Shore Conference will have a B2 division next
year. Plymouth Youth Hockey will enter teams
into this division. This will help out with
scheduling and having 3 to 4 teams with SSC. All
the programs also met with Yankee Conference and
put together a plan to help get through this
year with scheduling and plans to correct for
next season. A big part of the solution is the
SSC forming a B2 league. This is great for our
program and we look forward to this initiative.
Congratulations
to the Pee Wee A team who had a great weekend in
Marlboro. Coming in 2nd place in a field of 9.
They lost the championship game 1-0 on Sunday.
Nice Job!
